HOLLYWOOD ENJOYS THE FLAVOURS OF TUSCANY: HEAD CHEF PAULA FÄRBER OF RISTORANTE ALLA PIEVE, PIEVESCOLA (SIENA) WAS PERSONAL CHEF TO HOLLYWOOD STAR, NICOLE KIDMAN, FOR 8 DAYS DURING HER RECENT VACATION IN TUSCANY, ILLUSTRIOUS HOLLYWOOD STAR NICOLE KIDMAN ENJOYED THAT EXTRA SOMETHING SPECIAL, THANKS TO HEAD CHEF PAULA FÄRBER’S ‘MAGIC TOUCH’! ADDING HER UNIQUE SIGNATURE TO THE TRADITIONAL TUSCAN STYLE OF CUISINE, PAULA PREPARED DELECTABLE FISH DISHES, FRESH, CRISP SALADS WITH SPROUTS AS WELL AS CLASSIC CAPRESE WITH BUFFALO MOZZARELLA. THE CHILLED TOMATO SOUP WITH BURRATA AND OYSTERS, OR RAVIOLI STUFFED WITH AUBERGINE AND PECORINO ON A CREAMY SWIRL OF RED AND YELLOW PAPRIKA MOUSSE, BABY TURBOT FILETS WITH LOBSTER RICE AND, TO ROUND IT OFF PERFECTLY, PANNA COTTA WITH FRUITS OF THE FOREST, WERE AMONGST NICOLE’S FAVORITES. MS KIDMAN ENJOYED A WONDERFUL FAREWELL DINNER AT THE RISTORANTE ALLA PIEVE WITH HER ENTIRE ENTOURAGE, PERSONAL TRAINER AND MANAGER. WINE HIGHLIGHT OF THE EVENING WAS THE CHIANTI CLASSICO RISERVA 2005 FROM THE RENOWNED FATTORIA NITARDI, A TRADITIONAL WINE ESTATE IN THE HEART OF TUSCANY BETWEEN FLORENCE AND SIENA. THE RISTORANTE ALLE PIEVE IS A GASTRONOMIC GEM NESTLED IN THE TUSCAN LANDSCAPE. OWNER-MANAGERS, PAULA FÄRBER AND VILLIAM CAMPANI (HIGHLY SKILLED SOMMELIER), HAVE COMBINED THEIR PASSION FOR GOOD FOOD AND GOOD WINE TO BRING GUESTS A TASTE OF THE ‘GOOD LIFE’ IN TRUE TUSCAN STYLE. Art, Wine and Tuscan Cuisine Superb” Recently some friends and I were stayng nearby at the Relais La Suvera in Pievescola, Italy. We were surprised to find this restaurant by accident one night. We were treated with superior service and the atmosphere perfect for the weary traveler. Not only does it have a wonderful selection of Tuscan dishes and service, but also while we were waiting for our meal we sampled the wines in the winery on site. And there is more, the wonderful artwork on display. I can't wait to go back again just to savor the cuisine of Tuscany and to see the artwork again. Thank you for your most gracious hospitality and an excellent dinner and wine.
